The main stud we have been using for the past couple of years is a white boy with great genetics, who gets the brown that he has been throwing in his crias from his sire, Michelangelo. His dam is a white daughter of Hemingway, who maintained fine fiber at an advanced age.

ABA Matisse's sire Michelangelo is one of the premier black studs in the country.  One of Matisse's siblings, Onyx de Mico, won two AOBA blue ribbons, and has many blue and color champions among his progeny.  Crickhollow does not attend more than one or two shows a year, but we are able to guage our quality by the shows that we do go to.  At Alpacapalooza 2007, one of Matisse's male crias won a blue ribbon, beating two of Onyx de Mico's offspring, along with an AOBA blue ribbon winner from last year.

Radagast may be ready to breed by late fall of 2007, but certainly by spring 2008.

One more junior herdsire that I have to mention is Janus' Notorious.  Tory came to us  (and our co-owners Linda and Alan Bylsma of Lost River Alpacas) from Janus Alpacas last summer, and has already won a blue for fleece and a second for halter.  His grandsire is Pperuvian Victor, and his sire and siblings have won tons of ribbons.
