The Alpaca lifestyle captures the best people from all walks of life, who decide to break out of their stressful corporate worlds and settle into the business of being an alpaca breeder. Because not only is it the best lifestyle you can imagine, but it can be highly profitable as well! Who invests in Alpacas? According to AOBA (Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association) survey results, the average Alpaca owner is above average in education and income level. They are professionals: doctors, lawyers, teachers, real estate professionals, programmers, engineers, and more than a few veterinarians. There are also many farmers who have discovered the vastly superior income potential of alpacas over other livestock. There are handspinners who own alpacas just for the fiber; and others who began breeding alpacas after learning the superior qualities of alpaca fiber through fiber arts.
